This tour is specially designed for travelers who want to experience the incredible wildlife of Tangkoko in a more complete and relaxed way. From the quiet mangrove forests and coastal landscapes to the lush rainforest of Tangkoko, this journey offers opportunities to observe wildlife in different habitats throughout the day.

# TANGKOKO WILDLIFE TOUR

3 Days / 2 Nights

Tangkoko is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including endemic birds, Sulawesi’s famous Black Crested Macaques, Kus-kus, Tarsiers, and many other species that can be encountered in their natural habitat.

DAY 1 – MANGROVE, TANGKOKO & NIGHT WILDLIFE

Our adventure begins early at 5:30 AM, when we leave for the mangrove area.

The early morning is a wonderful time to explore the mangrove ecosystem. As the sun slowly rises, the forest and waterways begin to come alive. Here, we will look for the endemic Kingfisher and other birds that inhabit this unique coastal environment.

After exploring the mangrove, we continue our journey to Tangkoko, entering the lush rainforest in search of its famous wildlife.

Our main targets include the Sulawesi Black Crested Macaque, Kus-kus, endemic birds, and other wildlife that may appear along the forest trails. Every walk is an opportunity to discover something different, as wildlife encounters in Tangkoko are always unpredictable and exciting.

After the morning exploration, we return to the homestay for lunch and a relaxing break.

In the afternoon, around 4:30 PM, we head back into the forest for a completely different experience.

As daylight begins to disappear, Tangkoko’s nocturnal world starts to wake up. We will search for the Tarsier, one of Sulawesi’s most fascinating and unique animals, along with other nocturnal creatures that become active after sunset.

This evening walk offers a completely different atmosphere from the morning, with the sounds of the forest surrounding us as we explore the hidden wildlife of Tangkoko.

After the night walk, we return to the homestay for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 – COASTAL WILDLIFE & TANGKOKO EXPERIENCE

The second morning begins at around 6:30 AM with a visit to the coast.

We head to the beach to experience the peaceful morning atmosphere and watch local fishermen returning from the sea with their catch. This is also a beautiful opportunity to enjoy the coastal scenery and observe wildlife around the shoreline.

After the coastal visit, we return to the homestay for breakfast and some time to relax.

The rest of the day can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, giving you time to appreciate the surroundings, explore the local area, or simply rest after the previous day’s wildlife adventure.

Depending on your interests and schedule, additional wildlife activities can also be arranged.

DAY 3 – FINAL MORNING & DEPARTURE

Enjoy your final morning in Tangkoko with a relaxed breakfast at the homestay.

After breakfast, we prepare for departure and transfer you to your next destination, whether you are continuing your journey to Manado, Bunaken, Lembeh, Tomohon, or another destination in North Sulawesi.
